Universal Services LLC offers the unique capability of in-house design, fabrication, and installation; saving cost, schedule, and coordination. Since 2004, Universal has provided quality electrical, mechanical, structural, and CNC Machining services in a safe, reliable, efficient, and environmentally sound manner. With over 100 combined years experience, we strive to become the partner of choice by utilizing teams of professionals who work together safely to complete projects on time, manage cost, and exceed our customer’s expectations.

Lana Dobbins

Lana is a 2002 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi.  Lana is the co-founder and co-owner of Universal Services which began as a small residential electrical and HVAC service company primarily serving the needs of the local community. The home-based business began in 2004, with its’ first annual sales of just over $35,000. Sharing a vision to take the small business to a new level of service and quality, owners Ryan and Lana Dobbins, began soliciting industrial, commercial, and marine markets. Currently, the business operates in multiple states and has grown to a over 150 employees and annual sales of $29+million. Founded on the principles of innovative thinking, integrity, and diversity the company continues to grow at a progressive rate. Lana serves as the CEO for Universal Services and is tasked with coordinating daily operational functions, streamlining management systems, monitoring budgets, supervising managers, improving business efficiency, requesting audits, ensuring customer satisfaction, and analyzing financial data.  To date Lana and Ryan have 3 children and being a Mother is unapologetically her favorite and most important position.

Ryan Dobbins

Ryan is the co-founder and co-owner of Universal Services.  He is a 2002 graduate of the University of South Alabama with a Mechanical Engineering Degree.  Ryan serves as the General Manager for Universal Services.  He has a vast understanding of what is often very complex and dynamic builds.  Ryan's duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to formulating policies, managing daily field operations, budgeting and planning the best use of materials and human resources to complete every project on time, within budget, and exceeding customer expectations.  Ryan is one of the primary visionaries and a consistent driving force that is responsible for the company's rapid and steady growth.  When Ryan is not working he enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.

Cooper Simpson

Cooper Simpson joined Universal Services in March of 2017 and currently serves as our Field Operations Manager. He has over 13 years of experience in the construction industry. He has traveled all over the US working on projects from the oil and gas sectors of Alaska, government projects, and numerous power and chemical plants. He is responsible for planning, organizing, and evaluating the construction projects according to the assigned schedule and given specifications. Prepares schedules and monitors the work progress against the allocated budgets. Monitors the variances in material and labor in coordination with the supervisors so that maximum profits can be gained. Conducts meetings regularly and implements various quality control programs to reach the required standards. Ensures that all the cost and production targets are achieved by adhering to the health and safety regulations.

Janie Robertson

Janie Robertson joined Universal Services in 2007 and currently serves as the Office Manager. She is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a B.S. in Business Administration. She has extensive administrative experience in Office Management, Human Resources, and Accounting. She is responsible for organizing and coordinating office administration and procedures in accordance with established goals, objectives, and policies. She enforces safety compliance, training, and document control procedures. Oversees management of contract documentation, billing, and receivables. Commonly assists with financial reports, projections, and budgeting. She strives to establish and maintain a relationship and effective communication with the in-house team of supervisors and project managers.

Wayne Tribble

Wayne Tribble has been a part of the Universal Services team since 2008 when he served as an electrical supervisor responsible for managing industrial electrical projects on a contract basis.  Wayne joined the company full-time in December 2017 as an electrical estimator/project manager and has overall responsibility for all electrical project cost estimation.  He prepares cost estimates & contract bids/proposals; communicates with clients, vendors, engineers, architects, owners, contractors & subcontractors; determines scope of work and prices field change orders.  Wayne is also responsible for tracking projects from conception to completion and reviewing actual costs to ensure accurate allocation enabling up to date organizational cost standards to maintain competitiveness.

Wayne began his electrical career back in 1993 as an electrical apprentice at Ingalls Shipbuilding taking on progressively more challenging assignments over the years until eventually taking on the role of superintendent for multiple projects with various contractors.  Over the years he has attained several certifications including NCCER Plus, Fiber Optic Association, Inc., NFPA 70E among several others.

Wayne and his wife Lisa have two daughters, Ashleigh & Halle, and reside in Greene County, MS.

Tim Rogers

Tim Rogers brings 32 years of experience to Universal Services. Mr. Rogers joined Universal in 2013 as the General Manager of our Jackson, MS branch. His responsibilities include overseeing daily business branch operations, implementing a business growth strategy, supervising projects, estimating new work opportunities, establishing a positive work environment and culture, and ensuring a positive and successful end product for both client and Universal. He is a graduate of Hinds Community College with a degree in Applied Science – HVAC. Before coming on board with Universal, he worked for 18 Years with The Trane Company holding numerous positions and responsibilities including: HVAC Technician, Building Automation, Service Coordinator, National Account Manager, and Existing Building Sales.

Ethan Brewer

Ethan Brewer has been with Universal Services since 2017 and serves as Mechanical Estimator/Project Manager. His responsibilities include estimating projects, managing awarded projects, ordering materials, overseeing shop operations, shipping, field measurements, fabrication drawings and submittals, IFC drawings, as-builts, and operating our CNC plasma table. Mr. Brewer is a graduate of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College where he obtained his degree in Applied Science in Drafting and Design. He also successfully completed the welding program and is certified in Principles of Management.  He previously worked in the pipe department of a shipyard, as a tank fabricator for both the pipe and structural department, and  as a general contractor.

Brent Albrecht

Brent Albrecht has been a team member of Universal Services since 2007. He holds the position of HVAC Service Manager. Mr. Albrecht leads our team of service technicians. He is responsible for scheduling as well as directing and providing technical support for technicians to meet service demands while ensuring customer satisfaction. As HVAC Service Manager, he establishes budgets, goals, and objectives to ensure a successful project for both the customer and Universal. Brent has an extensive HVAC background with clients such as Southern Pines Gas, Florida Gas, Exxon Mobile, Hood Container, and Continental Tire.  He has managed a variety of projects across multiple commercial, industrial, and federal sectors including hospitals, churches, and universities.

Toni Brown
Toni Brown
Toni Brown

Toni Brown joined the Universal Services team in 2017. She has a B.S. in Environmental Science. She has taken on several roles, including Accounts Payable Manager and Human Resources/Payroll Manager, since joining the team. She is responsible for organizing and managing all office payables and all subcontract documentation. She helps implement handbook policies and procedures, as well as employee benefits. She oversees all procedures dealing with the processing and management of employee payroll. She strives to maintain effective communication with project managers, the team of supervisors, and all other employees.
